Children are welcome from any age. The hotel is a series of old Victorian style terraces historically situated on a section of the outer north wall of the Roman Fort Petriana which runs through our car park and formed part of the historic Hadrian’s Wall. The fort housed a 1000 strong cavalry unit known as the Ala Petriana and was excavated by the Carlisle Archaeological Unit in June 1984.

One of the best Elvis tributes, Ben Portsmouth, brings his unique style and charisma to Carlisle.  A multi-talented musician, singer and songwriter, Ben grew up on a diet of Elvis songs and made history in 2012 when he was crowned as the ‘Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist’ at the Elvis Presley Enterprises contest in Memphis, the only artist from outside the USA to ever win this prestigious title.
