From the moment you and your guests arrive, our experienced staff will guide you through your Civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party. Be assured that our team has all the necessary experience to ensure your day is truly an occasion to enjoy and remember.
Cumbria Park is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our Birdoswald Suite which caters for up to 70 guests. A hire charge is made for the room in which the ceremony takes place and includes the provision of a fresh flower arrangement for the 'ceremony table'.
Once availability has been confirmed with the wedding coordinator you will need to contact Carlisle Registry Office to confirm that they are able to perform the Ceremony on that date (a minimum of 16 days notice is required). All charges and payment for the attendance of the Registrar and copy of the marriage certificate should be arranged directly between yourselves and the Registry Office.
Served in the Petriana suite, accessed from the hotel lounge and bar this is one of our largest suites and accommodates up to 80 guests.
From the menu selector, you should choose one starter, one main course and one dessert for all guests. An additional choice can be made available for vegetarians/vegans and any special dietary requirements will also be accommodated when advised in advance. A fish and/or sorbet course can be added as an additional course if required at an additional charge (see optional extras).
Children over 10 years of age will be served an adult sized portion of your chosen meal and children under 10 years of age and over 2 years of age will be served a child-sized portion and will be charged at half the adult price. Children under 2 years of age will not be catered for unless we are specifically requested to do so – a limited number of highchairs are available free of charge.
All meal prices are based on minimum numbers and these should be agreed at the time of booking.
The Petriana Suite can accommodate up to a total of 80 guests for your evening reception and with a choice of catering options available there is sure to be something that will suit your needs. We have a varied range of buffets or even a hog roast so there will be something for everyone.
For your evening entertainment, you have the option of booking our in-house disco or your own. If you wish to book your own DJ then we will need to see a copy of their Public Liability insurance at least 2 weeks prior to the date. This will also incur a site fee.
Alternatively, you can book your own live music – again we would need to see copies of Public Liability Insurance along with valid testing certificates for any electrical equipment to be used. This would also incur a site fee. If you are getting married abroad but wish to celebrate with your loved ones on your return we can also offer the option of a reception when you get back. Just call us and we can go over the details.
